Half Way
It's been a couple of days since I documented everything but things at the clinic are pretty much the same every day. I have had more laser treatments that have made me extremely sensitive to the sun. I am like a vampire only emerging after the sun has set.
Dr. Leslie sat down and talked to me for a bit about what information I was able to find out about my Grandma Hudman. After talking to my mom I learned there is a journal of hers that I can't wait to get my hands on and see if I can figure out what secrets or conflict there might be so my lungs will heal!I have homework to write her a letter and possibly visit her grave and read it out loud to "her" to heal the conflict once and for all.
I had acupuncture this week for the first time ever in my life. I had no idea what to expect. Little needles all over my body didn't sound pleasant but it was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever had. As she was putting the needles in one by one she asked if I could feel energy running through the area and if it continued to tingle. Each time she put in a needle she would tell me the area of the body that energy was connected to. It is interesting how my energy was stuck in places I have known issues. In my right wrist I almost jumped off the table because I felt so much energy and tingling for the entire 30 minutes. Wrist = Lungs. In my right forearm I felt the same sensation. Forearm = Large Intestine or Colon. I personally don't have any issues in this area but Grandma Hudman passed away from colon cancer. Coincidence? I don't think so. Next my shins & belly and I had the same sensations. This correlates to anxiety. I felt all of the energy much stronger in the right side of my body. The right side is analytic and the left side is emotional. Sounds about right.
On Wednesday night my Miami BFF flew in and spent a couple of days with us. She is a flight attendant and had a few days off so it was great to spend time with her. Mom and Christina had a lot of fun snorkeling and enjoying the sun while I was stuck inside at the clinic. Christina was so cute and left sticky notes all over the hotel room when she left to keep me motivated!
Mom left on Friday and Mikayel got in that night. It is so nice to have a husband around! We are excited to have some relaxing moments together in this beautiful place instead of running between doctors appointments or being cooped up in the apartment because I am so sick. It's nice to feel just a little bit normal. Today was my free day and we had all intentions of doing a fun excursion to explore but we decided to be lazy. Ordered room service, watched the World Cup, played some cards, went to the spa and enjoyed the pool and beach. We tried to go souvenir shopping today and I was all dressed up in my pants, long sleeves and hat but I took two steps outside of the hotel and was hit with hot, hot, humid air. I turned around and went back inside. I guess that can be a nighttime activity sometime before we leave.
Our hotel has the most beautiful spa. We had free vouchers to try the hydrotherapy. I didn't know what to expect exactly. It is 11 different "treatments" all centered around water. It was AMAZING! We felt so relaxed and joked that we will go at least two more times before we leave ;)

A few days ago my doctor plucked a few hairs from my head to do a Cell Wellbeing test. I joked with him that he better not take too many because the hairs are finally growing in. The Cell Wellbeing test tests your hair for deficiencies of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, omegas etc., but it also tests your toxicity level. It gives you foods and food additives that you may be sensitive to and should avoid to see if there is a minor allergy. I was so sad to see 5 of my favorite or most common things I eat on the list of things to avoid- chocolate, corn, rice, soy & bananas. I asked Dr. Alan how serious this was and he said eat them and then be very aware of how I feel 45 minutes later. If I feel sick or tired I need to stop eating these foods. So fingers crossed everyone- I don't want to give these things up. Haha. Overall on Vitamins and Minerals I am doing pretty good! My only major deficiency was antioxidants so I am going to work on getting more of those into my diet. My toxicity level was very hight which was expected. 3 months ago I was still doing chemo so I haven't fully detoxed from that which is the whole purpose of this clinic.

This is my last full week here and I can't believe how fast the time has gone by. It is a bittersweet feeling. I am excited to be back home and in my routine but I have been so blessed to be around such loving people and people that truly care about healing. If everyone could put a million positive vibes out into the world this week for my veins I would appreciate it. My poor left arm is the only vein that wants to cooperate and it is getting quite sore.
